Isabelle Oehmichen

The French pianist Isabelle Oehmichen regularly performs in recital with orchestra or in chamber music, in France and in many countries (Great Britain, USA, Canada, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Finland, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary ….).

She won the International Milosz Magin Competition 1989 and Winner of the Cziffra Foundation 1999. She recorded 13 CDs, in solo piano or solo with orchestra  with original or unpublished programs including Weiner or Wissmer concertos, Henri’s unreleased works Collet or Henri Sauguet, Czerny’s Nocturnes in world premiere and several projects are in progress.

Apart from her concert activity Isabelle Oehmichen is also a teacher and provides Master Classes.

She is the artistic director of the Franco-Hungarian Music Association (AMFH) in Paris since 2002, and founded the “Trio Primavera” in 2006 with two Hungarian musicians Andrea Schuster, violinist, and Ladislav Szathmary, cellist.

After having been a member of the artistic committee (and member of the jury) since 2001, then member of the board of directors, since 2005, Isabelle Oehmichen is the artistic director of the Cziffra Foundation and the Georges Cziffra competition since 2017.
