Thanks to the large investment of the Hegyvidék Local Government, the XII.district has created a building complex satisfying the modern technical needs of the 21st century. In the renewed environment, this institution continues to be the number one strategic educational institution in the field of education, respecting the right to education and the operation of community spaces. It is also a place for the cultivation of Hungarian cultural and folk traditions, the art education, helping the creative communities in the district, ensuring access to quality culture, support for public culture, maintaining the demand for culture and culture as well as demanding entertainment options.

The MOM Cultural Center is open to culture, interpreting the cultural traditions for fundamentals and a place for creative novelties, and represents the direction which treats culture as resource.


Music Academy

Founded in 1875, the Liszt Academy is the only institution bearing the name of Ferenc Liszt in which the great composer himself had an active role in establishing. The university, which has been functioning for more than 140 years, is the bastion of music teaching and musicology in Hungary. The Grand Hall boasting unparalleled acoustics is a legendary concert venue in the Art Nouveau conservatory (1907) on Liszt Ferenc Square. Since its reconstruction in 2013, the institution has handled independent professional concert organizing activities and earned itself a reputation globally both as a university and a concert centre.

MÜPA

Müpa Budapest is one of Hungary’s best known cultural brands and one of its most modern cultural institutions. It brings together the many and varied disciplines of the arts in unique fashion by providing a home for classical, contemporary, popular and world music, not to mention jazz and opera, as well as contemporary circus, dance, literature and film.

The venue known to Hungarians simply as Müpa opened its doors in 2005 to offer cultural events of the highest quality to the diverse audiences for the above genres. The institution’s fundamental task is to introduce new artistic trends and directions – while respecting Hungarian and European artistic traditions – and to relay them in a clearly understandable way that creates rich and rewarding experiences to be enjoyed by both the connossieur and the person on the street.
